Job Summary:

1. Perform with Drums of Polynesia, versed in all areas of Polynesian Performing Arts - Hawaiian, Tahitian, Samoan, Maori, Cook Islands
2. Knowledge of Drums of Polynesia Dances and Music repertoire
3. Care and maintenance of all Costumes and Uniforms.

essential functions:

1.To perform, know and understand the dances of Tahiti, Hawaii, New Zealand and Samoa.
2.Know Drums of Polynesia show repertoire confidently.
3.To know all dance routines & choreography and positioning for all DOP cast sizes.
4.To learn and know all words to all songs.
5.Costumes: (Maintenance & Care)

required skills & abilities:

1.All Male dancers to be proficient in the Fire Knife dancing
2.To be skilled in Tahitian, Hawaiian, Maori & Samoan dance, song and performance.
3.To be proficient in the Art of Entertainment, Showmanship, Polynesian Performing and Theatrics.

physical requirements:

1.Physical Appearance: Physically Fit. Height / Weight Proportionate
2.All female dancers to have Long hair (At least to middle of back length)
3.All dancers to have professional grooming standards, personal hygiene habits, make-up, appearance etc.

required credentials:

Dance Experience / History / Resume'
Audition / Video Tape

job summary:

To be proficient in the Music and Songs of Polynesia representing the islands and Cultures of Tahiti, Hawaii, New Zealand and Samoa.

essential functions:

1.Play a musical instrument and sing during Polynesian Revue.
2.Know all Music and words to all numbers confidently. Chords, Drum beats, WORDS without songbooks. (No song books on stage allowed)
3.Learn and know show within the first 3 weeks.
4.Play at least one of the following instruments, Electric / Acoustic Guitar, Bass (Upright & Electric), Ukulele, Tahitian Banjo, Tahitian Drums (Toere, Faatete, Pahu, Pahu Tupa'i rima)
