History of Drums of Polynesia
Drums of Polynesia were created in 1975 in a small country town in New Zealand with very traditional Maori Roots and up bringing. Our goal was to take our talented musical family and share this authentic Polynesian culture with their neighbors across the Tasman Sea. In 1980 the company moved to Sydney Australia for over 20 years, and expanding over 4 decades through 3 continents Australia, Japan and the USA. Opening a office in Fort Lauderdale Florida in 1995. Drums of Polynesia have entertained all markets of audiences in Luau party entertainment / Polynesian Music / Hawaiian Entertainment, South Pacific Cuisine, Polynesian Deco and Design.
After 30 plus combined successful years they continue to create Hospitality, cultural awareness and entertainment /education. The recruiting and training process has bought the company to the fore front internationally by recruiting and relocating of authentic professional Polynesian members from various Islands across the South Pacific to the USA.
This is why Drums of Polynesia is such a unique company, for our staff has 30 years of professional experience. Our dancers have been gathered and performed at such venues as the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie Hawaii, the Polynesian Hotel at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Tokyo Disney World Tokyo Japan, Across Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Major cities in the USA.
